The Preston Figure Skating Club is proud to have several members inducted into the Cambridge Sports Hall of Fame. These individuals have been recognized for their outstanding contributions to the sport of figure skating and to our community. Honorees have been inducted in one of two categories: Athlete, for excellence and achievement in competition, or Builder, for their exceptional leadership, coaching, volunteerism, and lasting impact on the development of sport in Cambridge.

To say that Tom Hilborn was a dedicated volunteer is to state the obvious. For more than 50 years he was a constant presence with the Preston Figure Skating Club, acting as the club’s treasurer and building all the props for their annual Ice Show.

Christine “Tuffy” Hough and Doug Ladret, under the guidance of coach Kerry Leitch at the Preston Figure Skating Club, were Canada’s top pairs figure skating team in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Kerry Leitch began his long association with Cambridge in 1964, when he was asked to jointly coach both the Preston Figure Skating Club and the Kitchener-Waterloo Figure Skating Club.
